Cataract operations were performed in Niger after Benin, Togo and Ghana. Totally 165 cataract victims were brought to the light, while 600 underwent eye examination and were given spectacles or medication depending on their problem. The Cataract Campaign of the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation is being carried out successfully in previously selected African countries. Niger was the fourth stop for cataract operations. Through operations performed in Niger after Benin, Togo and Ghana 165 people were brought out of darkness. 
Active volunteers organized a fair to contribute to the cataract campaign conducted in 10 African countries. The fair being held in Pendik will last until August 12. Volunteers of the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation are working incessantly. The IHH volunteers residing in Pendik district of Istanbul organized a fair to raise fund for the foundation’s cataract campaign. 
By means of Cataract Campaign started by IHH with the slogan of “If you see them, they will see the world”, cataract operations have been carried out in 4 countries. 390 people in Benin, 300 in Togo, 281 in Gana and 224 in Pakistan have taken surgeries. Thanks to the operations in the regions 1195 people have regained vision, 17.522 people have taken medical examination. After medical examinations, glasses and medicines are delivered to the patients. 
The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation launched, with the cooperation of the Solidarity Foundation, a year-long campaign on April 1 to bring to the light the Africans who suffer from sight problems. The campaign aims at fixing sight problems of 100,000 Africans. The campaign is supported by the Turkish and Sudanese health ministries. Officials from the Sudanese Health Ministry stated they view the project very promising and added, “Eyes of Africa are entrusted to Turkey.”
