100.000 African people are going to be treated by the Cataract Campaign launched on 1 April 2007 by IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation with the slogan of “If you see them, they will see the world!”.

Which countries are covered by this campaign?

IHH and Dayanışma Vakfı (Solidarity Foundation) are planning to make cataract surgeries in 10 African countries and in some countries in Asia. The African countries are Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Somalia, Ethiopia, Sudan, Ghana, Benin, Togo and Chad.

How much does a cataract surgery cost?

The cataract surgery’s cost changes from country to country and this operation can be made with the average cost which is 100 YTL (New Turkish Liras).
